All I Want For Christmas Is.....

JACKS TOOTH BACK! :( Yes Jack had an accident the other day, we were in the bathroom and he was standing against the tub. Well.. he decided to bite down on the shower door track and rip his head up. (I think he was going to bounce) Any how his top tooth popped right out. The little booger didn't even cry until I made him mad by freaking out and scooping him up. The blood was flowing! Kent was working nights and he was in bed so he got a RUDE awakening of me flipping the light on with blood all over me! haha! Jack is fine and the dr said there is nothing they can do so he just won't have a top tooth for 7 or 8 years. :( It makes me sad but really its the nothing compared to what we have and will go through.

Still Here

I'm sorry I have been a bad blogger and commenter. :/ Really I have no excuse besides pure laziness ;) Anyhow.. Jack was a Jack in the box for Halloween. We have just been hanging out mainly. Jack had his first visit with the Cleft Team. He failed his hearing exam BUT I took him to his pedi and he has fluid in both ears and infection in the left so he said it could have caused him to fail the test. He also had a cold while we were there. I know when I have a cold I can't hear well either. We will retest in 2 months so I am praying that will go good and all this was from the fluid. I know he CAN hear but they said maybe he just can't hear really quiet sounds. Time will tell.

Jack can now wave hi and bye-bye.. its the same wave however lol. He loves to growl and say momma. He can also say ut-oh but he has only said it about 3 times. He says ga-ga a lot and I'm not sure if he means something by it or if he is just mumbling but he repeats it over and over. He also LOVES to shake his head "no-no", it can be quite amusing. He has become a shy little fellow around strangers at times, and at other times he loves to entertain people and make them laugh. It really all just depends on his mood I suppose. We have had him start crying with a lady at Walmart. lol I felt bad but he was very tired and I'm sure she understood. Still no crawling yet. He sure can scoot on his bottom so he might skip the crawling thing. I have been doing 3 signs with him so far milk, bath, and all done. So far I know he knows what milk is becomes he will quit crying and wait for the bottle and he definitely knows what bath is, I think he tries to do it but he just doesn't have it down yet. All done is actually a little difficult in my eyes because I say all done when he finishes his food but who am I to say if he is really done or still hungry? lol! Right now his favorite toy is his xylophone. He loves to bang and make noise on about anything. After many many months of "teething" he finally has his first tooth on the bottom. And now I think the second is coming. :) Sleeping is going much better. He normally sleeps about 9 hours and gets a bottle between 5-6am then back to sleep till 8-8:15. Fine with me. He is a pretty good boy all around. He does know that when Daddy is around he gets held all the time. ;P

Well here are some pics from Halloween and such.

Post Surgical Pics

Here are a few pics of Jacks lip... don't mind the sweet potatoes. It kind of makes the scar look a little worse than it really is. He is doing fabulous and starting to sleep better.

Here is a picture of my freezer supply of breastmilk. Currently Jack is refusing to take frozen breastmilk. :/ But we will keep working on this. I have about 1800 ounces.

Surgery Update

Jacks surgery went very well. He was back for about an hour or so. It was very hard for me to let him go especially because this time he was wide awake and aware. He was just smiling away and had no clue what was about to take place. :( After surgery wasn't so grand, he had a reaction to the morphine they were giving him and he cried for about 7 hours. He was so swollen and could not even open his eyes. So after 7 very long hours they decided to take him off all narcotics and try just tylenol and motrin. Even though I was worried he might be in pain he did very well and we went home the next morning. He isn't sleeping well again and waking up about every 1-2 hours. Rarely he will sleep for about 3hours. I have just come to terms that this will probably happen with each surgery and then when I get him back to sleeping well it will be time for another surgery. :/ He also started a new thing that involves crying and throwing a huge fit in the carseat the ENTIRE time. He will arch his back and wiggle down so you can hardly get him strapped in. lol And trust me he doesn't ease up down the road. I'm hoping this is all due to surgery and will quit soon! I will try to post a picture soon. I've been really bad lately and honestly, I don't even know where my camera is.

Good news.... our next visit isn't for 4 months! whew! I wish we were done forever though. :(
